Hazardous waste disposal in Frankfurt am Main

You can simply drop off your hazardous and special waste in household quantities at a hazardous waste collection point. The mobile hazardous waste collection service is now also barrier-free at some locations, as are our permanent collection points at the West and North recycling centers. Information on accepting hazardous waste

Please note the following when disposing of waste:

  • Our specialist staff only accept standard household hazardous waste from private individuals and small businesses (including service providers) registered in Frankfurt am Main. Our employees are authorised to check your identity card if necessary. Persons who are not registered in Frankfurt am Main can prove their identity by presenting a waste disposal fee notice.
  • Please deliver hazardous waste separated by type and, if possible, in its original packaging. Containers must be tightly closed. The maximum quantity that can be delivered is 100 kg/100 l total external volume per day. Individual containers may not exceed 20 kg/20 l external volume (10 l external volume for acids and alkalis).
  • Businesses (including service providers!) must generally register their hazardous waste by telephone.
  • Please hand over your hazardous waste directly to the specialist staff at the collection point. Under no circumstances may it be left anonymously!

Excluded from collection include, among others:

  • Infectious waste
  • Explosive waste
  • Radioactive waste
