June campaign of the “Teilerei” well received at second location

Between June 11 and June 30, 2025, numerous residents of Frankfurt came to Liebfrauenberg to drop off former favorite items and find new ones. The reason: “Teilerei” was hosted in the premises of the former service center of FES Frankfurter Entsorgungs- und Service GmbH. On average, around 60 visitors came per day, each bringing about five items or pieces of clothing. In total, around 500 visitors came and donated around 2,500 items.

FES Managing Director Benjamin Scheffler is pleased that the campaign was so positively received by visitors: “Sustainability is no longer a niche topic, but rather a real need for many people to consciously deal with the resources available.”

Birgit Holm, Head of the Zero Waste division at FES, adds: “We are pleased that we were able to temporarily offer Teilerei a second location in the city center. The joint organization by employees of #cleanffm, Teilerei and FES worked very well.”

The age structure of visitors was very diverse. Around 25 percent were between 20 and 40 years old, almost 30 percent between 41 and 60 years old, around 34 percent between 61 and 80 years old, and just under 8 percent were over 80 years old.

Only those who bring at least five items can participate in the exchange and take new favorite items home.

The free shop “Die Teilerei” is located at Triftstraße 34 in Frankfurt-Niederrad. Teilerei was opened in 2024 and emerged from a citizen initiative in the “Zero Waste Lab”, the idea platform for a more sustainable Frankfurt.
