Small waste collection points temporarily closed – digital service expanded

FES responds to heatwave

Due to the extreme heat forecast for the coming days, the two small waste collection sites on Barbarossastraße and Am Landgraben must be closed from Tuesday, July 1, until Saturday, July 5 inclusive.

However, citizens will still have the opportunity to dispose of green waste, bulky waste, paper, lightweight packaging, metals, glass and used clothing at the Landgraben site via the digital self-service system. This is possible from July 1 to July 5, daily from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

For this purpose, it is necessary to book a 10-minute time slot in advance. Residents of Frankfurt can do this via the self-service app Maex, developed by FES co-shareholder Remondis.

At the site, the process is simple and without waiting times: at the agreed time you open the gate via Bluetooth, deposit your recyclables and leave the premises.

As with the previous digital additional service, FES staff will not be present on site during this period. The area is monitored by video.

The Barbarossastraße small waste collection site will be completely closed and will reopen regularly on Monday, July 7.
